Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 5, 2026

Who we are. StockSprig (“we”, “us”) makes this app. Contact us at [email protected].

The short version. StockSprig keeps your business records on your own phone. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics in the app, and we do not run a server that stores your inventory. We cannot see your products, deliveries, receipts or backups.

What stays on your device. Products, batches, quantities, package dates, supplier names, delivery details and totals, receipt photos, your business name and logo, region and notification settings, and your stock history. If you delete the app or use Erase all data in Settings, this information is removed from your device. Backup files you saved somewhere else are not removed.

What the app sends over the internet.

  • Barcode lookup (optional). Only when you tap “Look up public product info”, the barcode is sent to Open Food Facts, a public product database, to find product details. We send nothing else: no business name, no inventory. Open Food Facts receives your device’s IP address, as any website does, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
  • Receipt reading. Text on receipt photos is read on your device, and receipt photos are not uploaded.

Notifications. Daily summaries are created and scheduled on your phone. No push-notification server is involved. You can turn them off in the app or in your phone’s settings.

Camera and photos. The camera is used to scan barcodes and photograph receipts. Photo access is used to choose a logo or a receipt photo. These stay on your device unless you export or share them.

Backups and exports. When you create a backup or CSV file, it is saved on your device and you choose where to send it, for example Files, email or a cloud drive. Full backups include receipt photos and your logo, and the files are not encrypted. We never receive these files. The service you choose handles them under its own terms, so keep them private. Your phone’s own backup service (iCloud or Google) may also include StockSprig’s data, depending on your phone settings.

If you contact us. If you email us or ask to join the pilot, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it to reply, fix problems and improve the app. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. We keep it for as long as we need it to help you, and for up to 2 years after our last message unless you ask us to delete it sooner. The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Store information. Apple and Google tell us about downloads and, if you have allowed it, crash reports.

Children. StockSprig is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Your choices and rights. Because your records stay on your device, you control them: edit, export or erase them in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, such as emails you sent us. Contact [email protected].

Security. Your records are protected by your phone’s own security, such as your passcode and device encryption. StockSprig does not add separate encryption. Use a screen lock and keep backup files private.

Changes. If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
